KYLE O'NEILL FOR CHANHASSEN

For a Chanhassen that works for everyone who calls it home.

A city that grows the right way, spends wisely, and listens to the people who live here.

My name is Kyle O'Neill, and I'm running to represent the people of Chanhassen on the City Council. I've lived in the Chanhassen area for more than two decades, and my wife and I are raising our two kids here. I'm a labor advocate with IBEW Local 292 and currently serve on the Metropolitan Airports Commission. I'm running to bring my experience as a working family advocate to City Hall and help make thoughtful, responsible decisions for Chanhassen.

Why I'm Running

Chanhassen is a great place to live. But the decisions being made right now about growth, taxes, and how our city talks to residents will shape what this community looks like for the next generation. I'm running for City Council to make sure those decisions reflect what actually matters to the people who live here: responsible growth, fiscal discipline, safe streets, protected natural resources, and a city government that communicates openly instead of after the fact.

PLATFORM PILLARS

Growth That Reflects Our Community’s Vision

Guide growth so new projects match what residents were promised: walkable, mixed-use spaces with real public gathering places.

Fiscal Responsibility Residents Can See

Protect Chanhassen’s strong tax record with transparent, line-by-line budgets that clearly show what residents get for every dollar.

Safe, Well-Maintained Streets & Smart Transit

Fix pavement, protect private property, and make streets safer for people walking, biking, and driving while supporting smart regional transit.

Protecting Our Lakes, Creeks & Natural Spaces

Hold new development to strong water and stormwater standards while investing in lakes, creeks, and green space as core city assets.

A City Government That Communicates Before, Not After

Make city decisions and emergencies easier to follow with clear, proactive communication and real two-way engagement with residents.
